PEC Basic Orientation

Safety isn't just a word that is thrown around, at Gemini we take our compliance, customers and employees safety as a cultural structural building block.  To ensure we are always on top, we have our own in-house certified PEC instructor.

Summary PEC’s Basic Orientation is a one-day safety orientation that is accredited by both SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf. This course meets API RP 75 and API RP T-1 requirements. Basic Orientation provides general safety information that workers need to know before entering a company facility and while performing their assigned work duties. Students will learn about hazards they may encounter in their workplace and become familiar with various practices to mitigate those hazards. Students will also gain understanding of their rights under OSHA and how those rights apply to their workplace.

Upon successful completion of the course, students receive their PEC ID card. This card reflects PEC course requirements the student has met. Employers may verify student training on the PEC ID card or online at The PEC Digital ID card is also available for purchase through PEC’s free mobile app. Course Evaluation Students receive written exams to verify competency in Basic Orientation topics.
